This is the exact same 5" dual-wall tip we build into SPD's flagship HX Series and GX Series exhaust systems — now available as a standalone upgrade.

We engineered this tip because nothing on the market could handle the heat, color, and durability our systems demand. Single-wall black tips discolor, rust, and turn brown behind 1700-degree downpipes. Ours don't.

True 5" Dual-Wall Construction: An inner and outer wall of 304 stainless steel with an air gap in between. The outer wall stays cooler, which is how we keep the finish from blistering and coloring behind high-flow downpipes. It also gives you that deep, thick, premium look vs. thin single-wall tips.

High-Temperature Black Chrome Finish: Not powder coat. Not paint. This is a high-temp, chemical coating rated for sustained exhaust temps. Resistant to fading, chipping, and exhaust wash-out. No more brown tips after 2,000 miles.

304 Stainless Steel — Inside and Out: Both walls are 304 stainless for maximum corrosion resistance. Will not rust like 409 or mild steel tips.

Universal 3" Clamp-On Inlet: Designed to clamp directly to any 3" tailpipe or muffler outlet. Perfect for replacing damaged, faded, or undersized tips on any 3" exhaust system.

Why Dual-Wall Matters:

On a truck with stock cats, any tip works. On a truck with SPD high-flow downpipes running 1400-1800° EGTs at wide-open throttle, single-wall black tips burn, fade to brown/bronze, and discolor. The air-insulated dual-wall design on this tip dissipates heat before it destroys the finish — that's why we use it on every HX and GX system we build.
